چکیده

Background: Arthroscopic Bankart repair and open Latarjet procedures are the most frequent surgical treatments for shoulder instability recurrent dislocation. Objectives: Therefore, we performed research to assess clinical outcomes recurrence rate of between both techniques. Methods: A cross-sectional study was at Lahore General Hospital, from 2021-23, comprising 74 patients, managed surgically condition The patients were allocated into two groups viz Group B 37 in each, who through techniques, respectively. Post-operative complications, re-occurrence success measured terms SSV scores. Results: Average age group 28.34+5.31 years while group; it 29.09+6.19 years. 14 (37.83%) revealed dislocation, no such complaint found technique. Twenty-seven showed satisfaction with procedure 33 out (89.18%) satisfied Patients technique successful recovery dislocation their 87.91%, less score 59.76%. Conclusion: Open had a greater functional satisfaction, arthroscopic trend more recurrence. operation higher better return previous top-level sports than Keywords: Latarjet; Re-occurrence; Shoulder dislocation; Sports medicine; Surgical complications.

Surgical repair of Bankart lesion in Recurrent Shoulder Dislocation: a Comparative and Retrospective Study between Open and Arthroscopic Technique

Since Bankart described the injury of the antero-inferior lip of the glenoid rim as the cause of instability and presented his results with patients treated surgically through open repair, it became the “gold standard” treatment for this lesion [1,2]. Over the last few decades, the arthroscopic technique for repairing Bankart lesion has evolved considerably, in an attempt to reduce the common c...

Risk factors for shoulder re-dislocation after arthroscopic Bankart repair

BACKGROUND Recent studies have shown effective clinical results after arthroscopic Bankart repair (ABR) but have shown several risk factors for re-dislocation after surgery. We evaluated whether patients are at a risk for re-dislocation during the first year after ABR, examined the recurrence rate after ABR, and sought to identify new risk factors. METHODS We performed ABR using bioabsorbable...

Comparison of open and arthroscopic stabilization for recurrent shoulder dislocation in patients with a Bankart lesion.

We performed a prospective study of 117 patients (119 shoulders) with symptomatic, recurrent anterior posttraumatic shoulder instability to compare open versus arthroscopic reconstruction. Arthroscopic reconstructions (N = 66) were performed using bioabsorbable tacks (Suretac fixators), whereas open reconstructions (N = 53) were performed with suture anchors. All of the patients had a Bankart l...

Combined arthroscopic Bankart repair and remplissage for recurrent shoulder instability.

PURPOSE The objective of our study was to summarize the available clinical evidence pertaining to the combined arthroscopic Bankart repair and remplissage procedure (BRR) for the management of recurrent anterior glenohumeral instability. METHODS We searched Medline (1946 to the third week of November, 2012), the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Embase (1947 to the 50th week of ...

Results of Open Bankart Surgery for Recurrent Anterior Shoulder Dislocation with Glenoid Bone Defect and Concomitant Hill-Sachs Lesion

Background: Open Bankart surgery is the main treatment procedure in patients with recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation, especially in cases with glenoid bone defect. The goal of this study was to determine the outcomes after open Bankart surgery in cases of recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation with glenoid bone defects and concomitant Hill-Sachs lesions. Methods: Between 2006 and 2010,...
